I was wondering if United Iu Mien Community has created a program to help the kids that work very hard in high school (as straight A students)? Is there any reward programs that give for those kids? If they don’t have such a program, I think we as a united Iu Mien in the United States, should support those straight-A students in high school. And I believe very strongly those kids are our future. If there’s anything that I can help with, with the program, I will be happy to help. You can get in touch with me through facebook.

    Sincerely,
    Lee, Eefong

I was so proud to see Merced Iu Mien Community had opened their arms, hearts, to all Iu Mien people at their New Year. (January 12, 2013). Such young and old, rich or poor, be able to hear, see, meet and learn from each other. I can tell you that they all worked so hard from the kitchen to the microphone. To try to bring our Mien people together, to love one another and support each other. Just like the other races would. But it seems to me that we as the Iu Mien in California just don’t care about each other, because not that many Mien people showed up to support our people. Shame on us. In my opinion, In the future New Years, I hope you will be just as open-armed to all our Mien people just like you were last night at Merced’s New Year. Not just choosing your friends or your neighbors. I think that’s not the right idea for our younger generation’s future.

    Sincerely,
    Lee, Eefong
